All placements for Thompson House, Revington House, Scholer Emergency / Residential Program, and the Transitional Living Program must be referred by Probation, the Department of Child Services, or the Department of Education. Children will be eligible for admission regardless of their religious or racial background. Admission decisions are made by the staff.
The referring agency submits a social history, school records, health records, and a completed application. In addition a diagnostic report must be submitted by an independent agency stating that the child has a behavioral or emotional problem which can be treated in and is acceptable for a group home setting. The child must be able to attend public school or be working on his or her GED. A pre-placement visit must be made to complete the admission procedure.

All placements for Scholer Home must be referred by county placing agencies: Probation Department, Division of Family and Children, Police, Court, or Sheriff Department. Agencies should call Scholer Home prior to placement to ensure a bed is available.
